Twist Conditioning: A Small Giant

When I started with Twist Conditioning I was one of five employees packed into a small office in an industrial business park in North Vancouver, British Columbia. We were a cohesive group that shared common interests in life, philosophies on training, and 2 very small offices.

The business was simple. We perceived our training and educational services to be in demand as we ran a very popular summer hockey camp, trained athletically inspired clients during the day and spoke at local coaches workshops and fitness clubs. We carried a small product line whose inventory we stored in one of the 2 offices that the 5 of us shared. We were a small company making a positive impact in our city.

Over the last few years we have experienced our tipping point. We now refer to Twist Conditioning as a Small Giant whose does BIG things. Despite Peter Twist never wanting to actually have a facility, we now have 4 Twist Sport Conditioning Centers in Canada. We ship our product line from 3 warehouses in North America and distribute it internationally through great partners in Australia, Holland, the UK, and Japan. 2008 was our busiest and potentially most impactful year to date. We presented at 60+ (and counting) fitness and sport conferences, delivered over 120 certification and workshops across Canada, spoke in front of 10000+ S&C Coaches, Personal Trainers, teachers, Sport Coaches and Health Professionals in Canada, USA, Holland, UK, Japan, Brazil, Turkey, Australia. Our Coaches helped prepare athletes for the Beijing Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Pan American Games as well as a variety of Professional Leagues. We were every where. It was a great year.

We are now by choice a small company, packed into an office in North Vancouver. We are still a cohesive group that shares common interests in life, but now we are reshaping the way people train for life and sport. We are Small but our impact is Giant. Our new Website is designed to help unite the Twist Community by bringing together all our athletes we love to train, the fitness professionals and sport coaches we have the honour of educating, and too best portray the scope of what a Small Giant is capable of doing.

By sharing videos, pictures, success stories, training tips, and some cool life adventures along the way we hope to continue to inspire and motivate.

We hope you enjoy the new Twist Website!
